I just discovered today that you cannot download Android Market movies to watch offline on a rooted device. Boo! This does not seem very open platform friendly. I wanted to download some movies to watch on a flight. I am running CM 7 on my Nook Color. Any suggestions?

Just to follow up, Google did promptly refund my purchase when I sent them an email, but I still need some movies. Help! :'(

you can play movies or at least i can, They have to be converted to mp4, and loaded via pc to nooncolor/my files/video. you will need a converter pgm. find it on google

I prefer Handbrake for conversion and suggest using the ipad/ipod presets till you get acclimated to the program and find your own tweeks. It's convert to files with the .m4v extension which is fine. I prefer to convert .avi or .mkv files that have already been ripped from the DVD but I hear Handbrake rips directly from the DVD as well. Good luck.

You all do realize that converting movies, for the most part, is unnecessary. I've played plenty of divx encoded .avi files with programs like Rockplayer.
