Ok Google not working

Today's update (Google Now) seemed to fix the problem for me.

Sorry - it's the "Google" app that updated. Version 5.6.23.19

I'm experiencing similar issues. Particularly with opening and app. When I try, it hears me but just sits there and does nothing. To be clear, this feature should work even if the phone is locked as long as "trusted voice" is turned on. You can see that on my screenshot below. Mine is apparently not the current version, so I'm hopeful an update will fix it.

Can you get "turn on Bluetooth" "turn on wifi" or "turn on flashlight" to work from a locked screen?

I use nova launcher and that is what was causing the issue with Ok Google Voice command. Go into the settings in Nova and turn on the feature.

I'm not on the Google app version listed above either. I'm on a Nexus 6P.

I've had this issue for the past week. Rebooting just fixed it.

most okay Google failures occur because your phone is encrypting your communication (all microphone use activates encryption), so unless your 'in' the app Google cant understand your command. Turn off advanced call privacy, turn off ALL accesability services (especially any root services) shutdown (not reboot) your phone, wait 2 min, turn it on, retrain the voice model. If that does not work, you gave to go manually edit a set of very complicated permissions... totally not worth it.
