ok, so who are the super lucky ones?

Well I've already broken a teeny piece on my Incredible. :( Just above where the USB connector goes in there is a minuscule piece of plastic that runs above it and the casing. Snapped it right in the middle. Wasn't hard to do, in fact I didn't even notice until I rubbed my finger across it and the edge was sharp. Crapola

That's totally lame. Can you post a pic of what you're talking about?

kinda reiterates what i was just saying.. still planning on buying it, just not quite as confident anymore.
 
Isn't there some kind of thing where if its released early to some people by accident or something it has to be released to everyone?
 
If this was an Apple product that was sent out too early.. They would've had FedEx bring all the packages back to the warehouse. What is interesting is that all packages are leaving Memphis and not the usual Texas or PA warehouses.
 
Anything I order gets sent from Memphis and I'll be ordering mine tomorrow with overnight so I can let people know by friday.
 
I know it goes through Memphis but usually does not originate from Memphis... I am wondering if Verizon was expecting a huge demand and decide just to drop ship them.
 
And how do you plan on getting them to send yours out 7 days early?

Didn't say I was going to get them to do that did I? Said I was ordering mine then and if there was a "mistake" I would let people know considering I'm ordering mine Thursday, overnight shipping would be Friday if a "mistake" happens. If not oh well I'm not betting the farm that it will happen.

I didn't realize you were saying if they made a mistake.

the mistake was patched right away only a few people fell into the hole of people who had it shipped early. apparently when the orders were put in the system someone forgot to put the hold for delivery so it allowed those few to get processed and sent out.


and on a side note arent all phones orders on vzw.com free overnight shipping?
 
So what the heck are they waiting for, if the phones are just sitting there ready to be dropped into eager little hands?!?!

Edit: How did you break it? Just plugging the phone in?
 
Only if you put in this freeovernt promo code other wise you pay. But I don't see how you could miss since it's plastered all over the site.

Actually on Sunday night prior to the 19th when the orders first opened up, their menu's were all fubar'ed. It took me four attempts before I finally got through the ordering process.

One time it asked for a new number to port over from another carrier? Another time it asked me to enter shipping and billing information three times, and another time it wouldn't submit my payment information.

Each time though, it did allow me to select a form of shipping, and no where on those forms did it mention anything about free overnight.

So if you were one of the super-early ones to order, like myself, it may not have been displayed at all.

I tried calling to ask about the status of my order, but apparently until it is processed on Monday, there isn't really anything they can look at.

Apparently, yes. In looking closer, there is a very small piece of plastic that surrounds the usb port. It is separate from the body casing and back. I broke the plastic on the top of the port. I might have tried to put the cable in backwards or whatever, but I can definitely see this happening to a lot of people. The piece itself that I broke is smaller than a small paper clip.

I pre-ordered mine on Monday. I did not enter any freeovernt promo code. Shipping was free automatically.

I'm looking at my printed Order Confirmation and it itemizes each charge. Beside Overnight Shipping it says "Free".
