"Okay Google" - identify songs

On my 6P, I'd always use the "OK Google" feature followed by "what song is this?" and my phone would "listen" to the song for a while and usually bring up which song it was.

Now, when I ask what song is this, the response is "I can't identify songs yet." Has anyone else come across this and has anyone found a solution?

Same. Sounds like they haven't turned that feature on for assistant yet.

Wait can you still get to google now on the pixel? Cause what other features aren't there yet?

Apparently you can still use Google now to find that out. Iirc.

It's weird though, betaish. But maybe there are complex ai reasons they couldn't just cut and paste features like that.

I have a Moto Turbo. In my widget drawer under Google there is a widget called Google Sound that will identify songs. You have to manually activate it, can't do it with voice command. I mention this as a workaround until the voice command is working.

There is a widget listed under the Google widgets that is for identifying songs. Works great.

Yes, click on the G in the upper left of the screen then tap the mic. That is Google now.

This Icon immediately opens and listens for the song.
I can't seem to find what app this is, it seemed to be loaded but I can't find it when I open my apps
