Old Premier Upgrade ?

Sprint tried to take away our Gold status, which gives us the yearly upgrade. We have been with Sprint for over 10 years, but part of that time was on my wife's parent's account, but her number was attached. We requested that they review our account, and they reinstated our gold status. Just thought I would share in case anyone is in a similar situation.

Called up on Monday, explained I pre-ordered at BB and put the $50 down and was extremely nice to the rep and his supervisor, the supervisor rest my upgrade. Finally some good customer service.

Just worked all this out with sprint tonight. My contract was about to be up, so I had a bit of negotiating power, plus I'm a gold member. I realize that means this is slightly off topic, since I was not in danger of loosing my upgrade.

Sprint (customer service over the phone, sprint stores can't do anything) gave me an extra $100 towards the purchase of both a new phone for me and my wife's phone (she ordered the epic). That is on top of my upgrade. Since the Nexus has not launched yet, she gave me a bill credit in the amount of my upgrade discount + the extra 100. They also changed our nights and weekend minutes to start at 6.

That means I can spend it on whatever phone I want, when I want. I'm going to Best Buy tomorrow to preorder the Nexus. Just thought you all might like to know that this is possible, if you can talk to the right people.

retention

If the Nexus does not make it out in April ......

I was just assured by a supervisor in retentions, that all of us who upgraded in March with the intention to return in April for the Nexus, that our upgrade eligibility will be preserved and not lost as long as we return within the 30 days of the March purchase.
Supervisor noted my account and gave my the log # for the input.
