On my Google play music app, why is the music stuttering when the screen is off?

Google play music app - music stuttering when screen off

When the screen is off I get stuttering like a scratched record intermittently with music downloaded to the SD card. When playing with phone the stuttering stops.

I have uninstalled any cleaner like apps that kill processes, I have also tried downloading the latest apk for google play music. Still no joy.

If music is played through the stock LG G3 music app there is no issues.

Does this mean then playing music stored in the phone's internal storage, or when playing music from SD with the screen on?

If the stuttering only happens with music on SD, try a different SD card. Make sure it's class 10.

Hi - been away!

It happens when the screen is off for music on the SD AND internal storage. The SD is a class 10 Samsung Evo card.

I've had the same problem with a SkanDisk 64 gig external micro SD card. Can't play my music. I get an error message, or the music skips like fast forwarding.
The only way it'll play my 600 CDs that I've purchased, is to stream, thus using AT&T data when not on WiFi. Help!!
