On my Samsung Note 3 n9005, why doesn't LTE work?

I have a samsung note3 n9005 lte does't work.

I got this from singapore. Now I'm in sri lanka.Anroid version is kitkat 4.4.2. Just want to know that wll 4g work if I install kitkat 4.4.4? Or will I have to do full software update. Please answer this question. I'm totaly frustated.

Welcome to Android Central! LTE reception depends on the network bands the carrier uses and which ones the phone's hardware are compatible with. If they're not compatible, then no software update will make them compatible.
