On my tablet, I must constantly toggle wifi on and off to get it to work.

My wifi problem on my Android tablet seem different from other threads I've read. After the unit sits for a while the wifi does not connect anymore just as if it is off, and it may bek,l but the settings say it is still "on." The fix is simple and always works in that I just have to turn the wifi off and back on and it connected and works OK for that session. What is happening and what is the fix? I'm using E10.1 16GB Android 6.0 Marshmallow Tablet PC 2GB RAM Quad Core.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this always happen after the tablet has gone to sleep? Any power-saving modes turned on or 3rd party battery-saver apps installed?

, I do have it set to save power by doing an auto shutdown and reboot each day.

Ok, but are there any other power-saving modes that might be shutting down the wi-fi while the screen is asleep?

I turned off a power saving feature that was on but it made no difference. I looked through all the options and did not see any others.

Does it happen in Safe Mode as well? On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.

On my tablet holding power off as you described does not give a Safe Mode option so I don't know how to test it.

What's the exact brand name and model name/number of the tablet?

It's hard to find any good information on that tablet, since it's an obscure budget device. Try this method of getting into Safe Mode:

1. Power off completely.
2. Press Power to turn the tablet back on.
3. As soon as you see the logo, press and hold Vol Down until the homescreen appears.

Does Safe Mode appear?

A comment on Amazon indicated that their tablet was changing MAC address every time it restarted. If using MAC filtering on your router, this would definitely kick you out.
