On / off button on S7 remote for Samsung smart tv

Hi there

We've had a Samsung Smart tv for a little over a year.

I've recently bought a Galaxy S7, which i love, and it connected easily to the smart tv (LT32E390S) via Quick Connect.

I like that I can easily use this feature to cast between the two and also that there is a remote, but the weird thing is that the remote doesn't seem to have an on/off switch?!! Where is it, am I missing something obvious?

My guess is, since smart view works via WiFi, and your TV needs to be on in order to be connected to WiFi, it doesn't have the ability to turn it off and on. Some phones can do this, but that's because they have IR transmitters built in, the same kind that are on your TV remote. The s7 does not
