On the fence

Hello,

I love the look of the phone but i am on the fence regardig durability. I know the durability test out there is nothing my phone will ever see but is just an excerise. However i am seeing comments on if it falls it does crack. I am wondering what others have experience before I order a solar red.

Dropped my U11 without any case from chest high ( I am 6"6' tall ) on the floor of Best buy and not a scratch on it.

I can't speak for the U11's glass, but with my glass Honor 8, it's had drops and bumps and the glass on both sides of the phone is fine. I think it all depends on the angle in which your phone is dropped; among other variables. But like any phone, the U11 will need protection. Glass phones may be a bit more fragile - not just objectively speaking, but even subjectively; as in, you may feel like you need to baby it *because* it's glass and you're afraid to break it, even if you have a screen protector and case on it (as an example). Don't worry about the glass! If you like the phone, go for it! If you're worried though, grabbing a type of insurance plan will give you peace of mind.

I've heard great things about the U11's camera - check out the camera posts in the U11 thread! It costs a pretty penny, but the U11 is worth it!

I have a spigen case on my solar red. I've dropped it once and it bounced off the corner of the coffee table. it didn't get a single scratch. I try to be extra careful though.
