One Email Account, Twice the Notifications

OK, so I have this issue where I am notified of new email TWICE for the same account. In the notifications pull-down, one icon is a yellow envelope with an "@" symbol on top. The second icon is a black envelope with an "M" on it. The former icon gives me an inbox with a dark background and white and blue highlights. The latter icon gets me a white background with black text. Not sure how this happened. I'd like to get rid of one of these notifications...preferably the yellow envelope. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a vibrant but it sounds like you're signed in with the default android email and samsung's own email app if it has one.

I am having the same issue. Is there a setting I'm missing?
