One M9 owners: What are your HTC One M9 first impressions?

Man, you guys complaints say the same thing. Glad I didn't upgrade. Did you have an M7 before the M9 or are you coming from an M8?

Had both m7 and m8. I currently have a Nexus 6 though. I work for Verizon, so I've had the m9 for overall a week.

It's a great phone, but not worthy of upgrading forum most.

What do you mean,"receiver"?

From my fingers to you on the M8, M9 or the Chromebook! :D

Really dude? A receiver is for controlling multiple components and sources like audio, video, and speakers for your home theater system....Geesh Gump Jr. It's obvious you don't have one and most people do if they have that many devices in their home. Public schools I tell ya.

Sorry, I have never owned one. I have always had Sony home theater systems.

Oh, oh! Yeah no. No receiver.

Ok. That explains why you like it. Anyone who has an AV Receiver will know what I'm talking about. Sense TV remote for a receiver is awesome. Peel remote for a receiver is a turd. I don't like having to sign into Facebook or Google + to save settings either. That wasn't necessary before.

Yeah I have never owned one. You can still download Sense TV from the play store though, right?

Not after April 30th they are shutting it down after that. I thought it was an April fools joke when they updated Sense TV today. Whats the point?

Will that stinks! I seriously hope they NEVER abandon the IR sensor. I have three little boys, between them and my wife, I can almost never find my three remotes! Haha

I was at a friends house visiting for the weekend who has a 19 month old and she lost the remote. We couldn't find the damn thing. He had a Nexus 5 which was useless. Pulled my phone out and in 2 minutes programmed his LG TV and U-Verse box problem solved. He was like, that's handy. Well....ya...

It most certainly is!

Just got home from work. My M9 was off the charger for about 9 and a half hours, 100 percent when I left. During the night I did some texting, streamed CNN for about 20 minutes, checked email. Screen would turn off after 2 minutes. Battery was at 55 percent. I think that's good. My M7 with about the same usage was around 20 to 30 percent. I'm cautiously optimistic so far.

55% after 9 hours of doing nothing. No, that's not even close to what my M8 brings to the table. I'm talking 30-50 percent higher than that. And that's being in a building without reception..

Here it is! Now, the power saver mode has been on since 35%.

thast quite good. early report for T-Mobile s6 shows 3-4hr sot for most users...... (there are claims that there maybe a bug in Tmo settings).

Not to belabor this point but it's far more useful and scientific to post your GSAM screenshots that spit balling it with approximations. No point guessing here when the app does the work for you as is far more helpful to prospective buyers.

That said, it doesn't sound very good at all. In M7 terms I would be close to that after what sounds like 45 minutes of on screen time. My wife's M8 would be at 75% power saver on and 65% power saver off battery left.

Sorry I'm not a battery expert like some of you here, just thought I'd post an informal experience.
