f**k been there before cant get back for some reason

did you reinstall drivers, did you take out the battery, did you change USB ports in the back of the computer.... try with the battery out hold vol down and while you continue to hold plug in the usb port......


and what tar file are you using and where did you get it

At this point back to stock. I am stuck on the force close loop and want to get phone working. Then i am going to read more and figure this root thing out. Have been reading about it for a week now and today i went for it. now im stuck in the stupid force close loop

Trying to follow [How to] Clockworkmod recovery/ Return to Stock / Use Odin by you but cant get into download mode.

I have recovery mode down pat. Download mode ive been too but didnt kno how i got there or what the hell it was. after rebooting after having gottten there is when i ran into the force close loop

try leaving the battery in then
with the phone off plug hold down vol down button and plug it in keep holding vol down

this is prob stupid question but i need to extract update.zip before putting it on sd card right. usually ok with all this phone stuff. phone is all jacked up right now tho

if you are going back to stock why do you need update.zip.....and no you dont extract it place it as is

battery light comes up then it goes into android system recovery <2e>

Want to go stock, but in past could not get update.zip to be found. It would say file not in directory when i was sure it was there. Tried it both ways zipped and unzipped. also tried using card reader to place it into root od sd card

go download drivers for it from that thread ,,, load them on your laptop and try with your laptop

still cant get into download mode tho. Can only access system recovery

nothing happens with battery out. i hold volume button and plug in, nothing. hold volume, power and plug in, nothing. do it with battery and i get into recovery

do you have a card reader or sd card adapter, or another phone, we need to get you an update.zip file onto your card
