One MOD that will make you STICK with GOOGLE launcher?

I've said it before the reason why I love android so much is because of Nova Launcher Prime, IMO without it pretty much like iOS.

Having the OnePlus 3 again, after a few weeks I'm still using the OEM launcher because it let's you customize the Icons which for me it'll do because I think OnePlus did a great job with the OS.

I praised Google for the amazing job they did with the Pixel but I can't stand the stock Icons so that's why after a few days I switched to Nova.

I know Nova does more but if you could only pick one Modification from any other launchers that'll make you stick with Google, which is it?

Well I'm sticking with the Pixel launcher because I like it and Google now integration is great on the left. Only thing I miss from Nova is swipe gestures and locking desktop icons from accidentally deleting/moving icons. But still prefer Pixel launcher on Pixel but on my OnePlus 3T I use Nova launcher customized to look like Pixel launcher

I reluctantly switched from Pixel Launcher to Nova simply because of that immovable weather/date widget (weather if you have Now set up, date if not) in Pixel Launcher.

IMO it was just that one thing that ruined an otherwise fast, light and simple launcher. I can't understand why Google would want to force a basic widget on users like that, unless it has some sort of user-tracking feature embedded in it.

Do you mean the Pixel launcher? Nothing -- I stay with it already because I like it .

I use Nova Prime at my Pixel XL , I can't stand all the white in the drawer of the Pixel stock launcher. I like black bold at the drawer so I use Null Wallpaper.

The only mod I would love to have is the ability to mask app icons where they are all uniform as far as being circular. That was the reason I installed Nova, went through all the steps to make Nova look identical to Pixel launcher, used Pixel icons from appstore and ran Chronus weather widget next to Google search pill bar to give it a better look because the Nova weather from labs looks horrible compared to Google's weather images.

I would say changing icons, but Awesome Icons does that for me. So I guess I wouldn't change a thing with GNL.

That said, I'm currently using Action Launcher 3 with a Pixel setup.

I never used the Pixel Launcher, so I can't say, but my main aftermarket launcher features are:

1. Icon pack support
2. How many rows/columns per page that I can have icons on
3. Icon resizing
4. Gestures
5. Getting rid of the dock

If the Pixel Launcher did those things, I'd probably give it a shot.

I moved over to nova, I like the notifaction icons, I like the gestures, and I like the grid. I go 7x7 and I have 2 rows at the bottom of my phone. a row of dock folders, and a row of quick access single apps above that. I also have one page only.

One mod that'll make me return to Pixel Launcher? Easy -- let us remove that weather/date widget from the top-right of the home screen.

Pixel launcher is cool but like nova for being able to hide apps in app drawer. Or looks too much

Like others, I don't want or need any weather info on my home screen. Why would anyone think life is impossible without it? Come on Google, at least give us the choice whether we want it or not rather than forcing it up on us. If I want to know what the weather is like at my location, I can look out of the window!
