Locked T-Mobile Note20 Ultra 5G here. I just received the November Security Patch and saw IMEI eSIM information.. Is this new or has it been available to carrier versions?

Also, should I be eligible for the beta or no?

The carrier version Tmobile was first one with eSim no else had it until Andriod 12 , looks like s21 and probably other carrier firmware will .

For the registration beta u should be able to join

I got beta 2 on my unlocked Tmobile just before , it added Esim support

I have never used esim before, but am excited to explore the option. Is it better than having a Sim card or just adds more flexibility? I have a tmobile Sim, can I add a Verizon esim?

It's actually more flexible in some ways, and less flexible in others.

Less: you will need the carrier or an online portal to add or remove the eSIM.

More: you can (potentially) activate a line (domestic or even international/foreign) without getting your hands on a physical SIM first.

And... You can now have a dual SIM phone!

I really hope this makes it to Note 20's in Canada. Then I can rest easy as no more MST enabled phones are coming, but I will have every feature that I need.
