One year until upgrade

So I think that I have one year until my next upgrade. I'm still unsure about what to go for.

I guess I will probably have to stay with Samsung, but they haven't made a phone since the Note 9 that I like.

Any suggestions on what would be a good upgrade option? I am leaning towards the Note 10, but there aren't really that many selling factors anymore.

Well, my suggestion is to take a look at the 'Note 11', - or whatever they're calling it, - and see if it's a big enough step up for you. If not, stick with the 9 and tough it out for one more cycle. By then, the 9 will be 3 cycles out and the 'Note 12' WILL be advanced enough to pull the trigger on.

I've got minimum one year left of updates on my Note 9. There are so many variables to life and phones, I'll cross the decision bridge when it truly matters.

I chose the 8/512 version of the Note 9, with the hopes of keeping it for four years as my daily driver. Over a year later, I feel the same way. Nothing new impresses enough to change.

In a year the Note 20 will be out and the S21 should be available for order, along with a bunch of other phones. A lot happens in a year, not much sense planning an upgrade now.

I'm just trying to weigh my options. I don't have the enthusiasm that I used to. The 9 was the last phone that I was interested in.

I will have to get used to the lack of a notification led eventually, but I still wish that they would bring back the iris scanner.

Guess I will just have to see where things go in the next few months.

Full day battery is one thing that my Note 9 doesn't have and I have seen some people who report that the 5G models have a better reception of lte signals, which would make a huge difference in my area.

So, Samsung is skipping the Notes 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 &19, like they did the 6?

BTW, my Verizon branded Note 9, that's still on Oreo has really great battery life.
One of the many reasons I prevented OS update.

It looks like I will be able to upgrade even sooner than I expected. I should be able to upgrade this fall.

Well, analyzing the benefits to cost... looks like the Note 20/plus/ultra/Plus-Ultra! is losing out to the LG V60 dual screen. All the bells and whistles of the Note line PLUS it's still keeping the headphone jack AND the MicroSD slot AND has a second screen! All for USD $900 vs the USD $1600 for carrier models. Just have to pay USD $50 OOP for the stylus.
