Good day all. Has anyone seen the Onedrive integration update yet? I am on ATT Note 10+ version, and still no OneDrive integration. Anyone getting it on unlocked or other carriers?

thanks

I unfortunately migrated over to OneDrive yesterday, and I hate it!!!! Unfortunately once you move to OneDrive there's no going back.

But to answer your question, the option showed up on my unlocked Note 10+ after the second Android 10 beta update.

How do I remove this from my Note? I dont want this or Instagram

What can an cannot be removed will depend on your carrier. Instagram wasn't preloaded on my unlocked Note 10+. You can long press on the Instagram app icon (or any other app), and if you can uninstall it the option will pop up. If you can't uninstall you can go into Settings to disable it.

That's annoying. Unnecessary bloatware.

That's most likely your carrier's fault more than Samsung's.What carrier are you on? I can uninstall all the Microsoft apps that came preinstalled on my 10+. And while Facebook was preinstalled on my Note, Instagram wasn't.

I am on Vodafone UK, and am being forced in to OneDrive and Spotify as defaults. Facebook and Instagram were both pre-installed too.

Disabling Facebook was the first thing I did when I got mine. I also changed a bunch of defaults as well.

Also be careful with one drive integration once you do that you cant go back to Samsung cloud storage for photos

I never trust Samsung cloud, but with OneDrive I'll give it a try. Unfortunately I can't get into beta now

Samsung cloud never let me down.. plus after 1 year one drive you'll pay storage , looks like everyone going that way anyway.

I'm looking for a good cross platform backup solution. I don't like OneDrive at all.
Personally I use Google as my main and OneDrive as my backup. Use them since they are cross platform, will never use Samsung cloud or iCloud since they are tied to Samsung and Apple respectively.

OneDrive has still some ways to go in terms of overall UI polish but it works. Also, my back up mostly involved photos for cross platform. My contacts and other stuff is in my Google account. As far as messages backup I don't care since I use messenger or Whatsapp is backed up.

PS: I also use Amazon photos as my third redundant back up for photos since it's part of Amazon prime.

That's good to hear, personally I'm not storing anything in Samsung cloud since it's locked to Samsung phones. Same with iCloud. If it's not cross platform it's not for me, especially when I'm always into multiple phones/platforms.

May be I should have worded it correctly, not trust it's more of not use.

Thats the reason I like Google Drive, I can access anywhere from any phone

Yeah people can not like Google which is fine, I just suggest people use something like OneDrive, Google drive, Dropbox or something which is cross platform and don't backup all your stuff at least important stuff like contacts, photos into services like iCloud or Samsung cloud which is locked to one company. You can argue I'm never going to change Apple or Samsung so it doesn't matter. May be but at least backup multiple places so that you are not stuck with one company.

I have stuff backed up to both Google and Samsung Cloud. I also pay for iCloud storage b/c I use a lot of Apple products, and I almost always end up back on iOS as my daily driver. I haven't been tempted since the Note though.

That's one of my issues. OneDrive is ugly as sin, and I don't care for the layout either. I also take the time to keep all my photos in separate albums on my devices, but OneDrive doesn't save those albums. Google Photos doesn't either.

I actually like the Microsoft integration. More space without having to pay for another account storage.
