OnePlus 3T spec's/price

$40 increase for the OP3T in 64GB with a 400 mah larger battery, better front facing camera, and an 821 that's not underclocked to 820 speeds sounds like like a pretty good deal to me.

I believe that fuzzylumpkin was referring, as per post #14, to the U.K. price increase of £70, (US$87, €81), from £329 to £399 for the 64GB model. More than twice the U.S. increase. ;)

People outside the US are always getting the short end of the stick. Including the release date as well.

I was halfway tempted to upgrade my 3 week old OP3 until I discovered the rear camera was the same as on the OP3. The front facing camera is wasted on me. I never use it. But the 3400 mAh battery and the 128GB storage option are very attractive. Had the rear camera been upgraded, I would have been sorely tempted to order the 3T.

The really good news is that the OP3 and the OP3T will both get the same software updates at the same time.

OP3T rear camera has enhanced EIS 2.0 for better video.

That sounds more like a software upgrade than hardware. If so, I wonder if the OP3 will enjoy that upgrade as well?

If you head over to Twitter, Carl Pei is commenting on pricing

@getpeid

Let me guess "the pound is weak against the dollar because of brexit... Components are expensive... It's still very competitive!".

He's probably not wrong, but it's still a frustrating trend... Ah well, stiff upper lip! Things will only get worse from here!

Very good points Ironass , it will be interesting to see what specs the OP4 will end up having and more importantly, how much it is going to cost...

I'd like to know also. I hope that IMX398 sensor that was rumored to be on the 3t makes it on to the 1+4.

Curious...in the spec sheet under 'Connectivity' is lists WCDMA bands and CDMA Evdo. Is this meaningful with regards to provider networks (Sprint/Verizon)?

EDIT: Looked at the comparison spec between the 3 and the 3T and the bands listed are identical. I guess I don't really know what those mean...but either way, Big Red and Big Yellow are out.

The other change (Camera EIS) is the file system upgrade. This is huge.

What? "Camera EIS" stands for Electronic Image Stabilisation, it's similar to OIS but compensates for movement electronically rather than physically.

It has nothing to do with file systems, or even the format the image is saved in.

I wouldn't say it's huge.

It's provided for by the 821, and I'm assuming it's probably pretty similar to what you get with the Pixel. I'd say it could be a pretty big deal.

I didn't mean file system for camera. I meant other than camera improvement also include file system. Check the screen shot.
