The smartphone market today is definitely a high contest area, especially in the $400 range. With some of those devices making you wonder if the $600+ devices are worth it. The OnePlus 2 & OnePlus 3 launched at $399 and the OnePlus 3T saw a small price bump to $439.

Do you think the OnePlus 5 will go back to the $399 price bracket or are we now moving towards the $449 or $499 mark?

I am Ok spending upto $499.

That said I think they would face a backlash if they increased their prices a lot!

Agreed, I personally see OnePlus as the 'value for money' company. Offering top specs at a reasonable price. So I'm not sure. I did hear rumours about a 1440p screen.

So that pay push the price to $449 but still kinda hoping for $399. It's a nice price point that most can afford. :)

I would spend $500 maybe, if I liked the phone enough... But I have really liked how brands like OnePlus and Honor have made their devices so affordable. I'm hoping OnePlus keeps this trend going. I mean, I'd be okay with a small price bump, of course; but I hope they still stay within the "flagship killer at a good deal" theme.

Solid rumor is 550 euro which is 650 usd

$500 is my limit. They're nuts if they think they're going to go from $440 to $650 and think they are going to sell a meaningful number of them. It isn't like they went from making low end phones to flagship phones and I am not about to give a company $200+ more for no reason. All the upgrades in the OnePlus 5 are expected upgrades that come from being a new phone in a new year.
