OnePlus 5t keeps rebooting to twrp recovery, please please help!!

Hi,
I recently tried to root my brand new oneplus 5t.
I successfully rooted but now everytime I turn it on it first shows a bootloader screen then the oneplus screen and finally back into the teamwin TWRP recovery mode. I've tried putting various codes into the twrp terminal but none of these seem to work, potentially because those codes werent written for 5t's. Any help on this would be amazing as im getting more and more worried about this and just want to get it working. I would preferably like to keep it rooted but just seeing the normal home screen would be ideal at this point haha.
Also ive got a pretty firm grounding in computer science/programming but im not great with phone lingo and am generally pretty new to all this so please take me in small steps and treat me as if i know nothing.

First, did you make a system backup before you tried rooting? (Rule of thumb if you're lucky [and smart] enough to have TWRP installed - before you do anything that might cause a problem, make a data and system backup. If you don't want to spend half an hour watching the phone setting your apps up, back up everything - just check all the boxes.)

If you have a system backup, restore it. You won't be rooted, but you'll have your phone back. right now, you have no Android in the phone. (Boot order is Android, Fastboot, Recovery, just like the boot order in a PC CMOS setup [not the same things, but there's an order in which to boot, like CD, USB flash drive, hard drive 1, hard drive 2 - that stuff). If Android fails, it boots to Fastboot. If that's what you mean by the bootloader, that's what's happening. If it shows booting, then goes to TWRP, the Fastboot partition is gone also, so it goes to Recovery - and you were smart enough to install TWRP as your recovery.)

If you don't have a backup, you'll have to download a flashable ROM from OnePlus (it's flashable through TWRP). I hope you have all your pictures, music, etc., backed up, because flashing a ROM gives you the factory version - no user data. And since it appears that you have no bootable ROM in the phone, you have to install one. (You may also lose TWRP - it gets replaced by the stock recovery - so check to see if, by some miracle, your files are still intact. then install TWRP.

Then back everything up in TWRP before you try rooting again.

thanks for your help i think thats what im gunna do (the problem might be partly because i think i accidently wiped the system when i was rooting). Only thing is i dont have usb debugging enabled (and obviously i cant turn it on given the situation) so I dont know how im gunna copy the stock rom to the phone. Think the solution has something to do with adb sideload but I'm not really familiar on how to use it, either way any help would be amazing.
