OnePlus 6 red photos

I'm trying to convince myself to buy a OnePlus 6. I've liked there phones for some time and now my contract is up and I'm in the market to buy a handset and so far for various reasons OnePlus 6 is my favourite choice , however I did see something questioning its ability with red pictures and yesterday I tried one in O2 and compared it to my LG g4 and it struggled with reds , could this be rectified with a software update as the difference was very very noticeable or is the red issue based in hardware problems.

Seems to do ok with reds for me.

strange, your pics look ok. when I took a pic of the wife wearing a red flowery tip my LG g4 was far more realistic than the op6 which went almost pink rather than red , not at all realistic. although the other pics of different things looked fine just the reds
