OnePlus 7 Pro from S10 Plus

Those are two big ones! Glad they're working well for you!

But i get bored fast.and seriously whats the difference between an iPhone 7 and XS?its all almost the same...except that the XS is 3 times the price...and yeah wireless charging.would get a Note X when its out and ditch the XS xD

So i was thinking if anyone moved from the S10P to the OP7P? Im feeling kinda bored with the S10P... Maybe because everything is working properly xD.no problems so far.

The main points I'm considering the OP7P is the SD855 processor... And the full screen.

The things i might miss is the wireless charging and camera.

Any thoughts?

Why would you downgrade to a OnePlus 7 Pro from the S10 Plus? If you're "bored" with the S10 Plus, you'll definitely be bored with the cheap phone.

I wouldn't say it is a downgrade.

I've had a S10+ and just got a OnePlus 7 Pro yesterday, and it is definitely not a downgrade. Sure the camera may be a bit better on the S10+, but OnePlus has been coming out with lots of updates for it.

Although the S10+ is a really good phone, I guess you don't really realize how much bloat Samsung adds to their phone until you try something else.

I have both...

OnePlus 7 Pro. I could care less about the Camera.

90Hz & Full Display
Almond
Warp Charging and the cherry on pie...

Dual SIM

I really do miss Wireless Charging on it though.

Yes it was nice last night to charge my phone in an hour, but I just like the convenience of just sitting my phone on the charging pad like on my S10+. I don't care that wireless charging is slower than Warp Charge. I'm not using my phone when it charges anyway.

You just gave reasons why it's a downgrade. You're coming from a flagship phone to a budget phone.

I like about s10 plus 512gb
* Better build with ceramic version
* Easy to use coz of size
* Better outdoor visibility
* overall camera experience both pics and videos are better on s10 plus in my opinion
* Samung Pay
* Official IP rating
* Wireless Charging and better battery life
* I like new Samsung software too tbh
* Headphone jack till that one day that you need it.
* Better customer service atleast here in India .
* Earphones and accessories included in box is better than one plus 7 pro

One plus I like :-
* faster phone overall
* faster charging
* Fast scrolling

90 hertz refresh doesnt work on most apps so for me it's not a must have .

In my personal opinion s10 plus is way better than one plus 7 pro, but what do I know ;)

OnePlus has been known as the "flagship killer" for quite a few years now. The Pro version is OP's flagship line.

Whether or not it's perceived as a "downgrade" is really up to the subjective view of each individual user. Spec-wise, perhaps some would prefer a phone with a more versatile camera. But objectivity doesn't always immediately determine whether or not someone will purchase a phone. Is it a huge determining factor? Absolutely. But some users go for different features and like different things - it's hard to just say one phone wins out over the other. :)

So after a few days with the OP7P, the only complaint I have so far is the lack of wireless charging. Sure the Warp charger charges my phone in like an hour, but I would still prefer to just being able to sit it down on a charging pad and let it charge, even though it's slower that way. I hardly use my phone when it's charging anyway. There is really no excuse for OnePlus to not add wireless charging. I don't buy their argument that because it's too slow. That's a cop out excuse.

As for the camera, that is something that subjective. Me personally, I am not a picture person. Sure I'll take pictures when, like say on vacation. Send them to some people and probably never look at them again. My daughter and I might make some silly pictures with the camera filter on Facebook Messenger, but that's about it for the camera for me. It's the least used feature on a phone for me. But for other people who take a ton of photos and love using the camera, then maybe then it would be an issue I agree.

Otherwise, I am really digging the OP7P so far. I love that it doesn't have any of the bloat that Samsung has. Yes I do prefer Samsung Pay over Google Pay, but I'll manage ok with Google Pay I suppose.

The phone is crazy fast also. I never noticed lag on my S10+ the whole time I had it, until I used the OP7P. Now when I use my S10+, I can notice it now.

But saying the OP7P is a downgrade to the S10+ is like saying an iPhone XS MAX is a downgrade. Sure the S10+ with Android can do many things that the iPhone can't, but I couldn't say the iPhone is a downgrade.

Nice review.well he/she said OP7P is a budget phone.that tells us enough ...

And about downgrade youre right.depends on what a person needs.might be a downgrade for some and not a downgrade for some.

And yes i wish it came with wireless charging...its quite a deal breaker for me as i have quite severe OCD and i dont want my port to be loose.

Honestly don't see any advantage going with a OnePlus unless your only consideration is reducing a phone's worth to specs per dollar.

The LOOK of the camera is subjective, the actual quality of the output is not.

I think it depends on what you are coming from. If you already have a recent flagship, then the OnePlus is more of a lateral move than upward in some regards.

Me on the other hand, I am a phone junkie. I go through a few different phones a year because I get bored with them after awhile. Sure my S10+ is a fantastic phone and works great. But I like to try different devices for the phone equivalent of the "new car smell". :)

Sounds like me. But not for the same reason. With an S10+ (and I learned this lesson already with Samsung) everything just works. So I'm back again after dabbing into various BlackBerry devices, Essentials, and Pixels over the past few years. S10+ is the first phone since my S7 Edge where everything including carrier features works perfect straight out of the box.

Let's hope it stays that way - and no RMAs. I need to stay focused.
