I'm so stuck between these amazing phones. I've only ever owned Motos and Xiaomi.

Not to start a phone war here, but comments and opinions would be fantastic. Especially from real owners of the 2.

I would go with the Samsung personally. I like Oneplus phones, but I think when Samsung does a phone right, it is spectacular.

It all depends on what annoys you the most! Notice I didn't say what thrills you the most? I currently use a OnePlus 8T. This is my 3rd OnePlus phone (6 and 7-Pro) and all three of them have worked without issue...for me! I have also owned 3 Samsung phones...S5, S10e, and S20FE. I had more issues with the Samsung phones in general and prefer OnePlus. HOWEVER, and this is where the annoyance comes in for many is the possible buggy updates, and for sure the slow (always 2 or 3 months behind) security patches on all OnePlus phones. This is a true annoyance for many who use OnePlus. Slow security patches do not bother me as I feel that security patches are way overhyped as something absolutely necessary! YMMV
I think Samsung is better at updates and patches. But Samsung has more bloat apps for sure! So then it all boils down to what annoys you the most, and what you can live with! One thing for sure is this: No matter who you buy from, the phone you get could be the best thing since sliced bread, or the worst piece of junk imaginable. When it comes to something as complex as a cell phone, being manufactured and assembled by underpaid and overworked (slave) laborers, it is a crap shoot as to whether you get a diamond, or a piece of coal!

So weird because all Samsung phones that I have had never really had any issues. My first and only Oneplus device, the regular 8 has many irritating issues though. I have call issues and connectivity issues. I have calls that constantly wont go through, things get screwed up through Wifi calling especially. And it will randomly drop data services or act laggy on wifi even though I have full service. I am not the only one either. I looked into it. Its frustrating beyond belief as these are like basic phone things.

Never had issues like this with any Samsung device or my Note 9 that I had previously. The only thing I like about my OP8 is the charging speeds.
