Hi.
My dad is about to start driving for Uber and also needs a new phone. (His 2013 Moto G is hanging on for dear life.) He just needs a phone that he can browse Facebook, take some pics, run the Uber app etc. Would the 1+1 still be a good option for him?

It would still be a good fit for what he wants to do.. and certainly a big step up from what he has.

If he can get a good deal on one, then it would be a good buy...

Yes it is really good.I just bought one for cheap and its on par with flagship's of today, minus a few new features.

The 1+1 has the same specs as my OnePlus X, except for the X having a 5" screen, compared to the 1s 5.5" screen. I am really happy with the X. The SD 801 and 3GB of ram really perform well. It's no Galaxy S7, but it will certainly run facebook, uber and take photos with little issue.

I've had the 1+1 for about 18 months now. It's a good phone and battery is so-so now. If I'm not using the phone much it'll get through the day but usually I have to charge during the day or evening of I've watched video, played a game for a while or did a lot of browsing while commuting (commute is about 45 minutes each way)

I know this is an extremely old thread, and no one looks at this when dealing with Oneplus (check out the oneplus forums), but I've bounced between a PRIV and the OPO. I got a OPO about 2 months after release. I got the PRIV on impulse through AT&T on release. I really like that phone even though it's had its issues, but ever since the OPO has been updated to marshmallow, it's as good of a phone as I've ever used.

Would I recommend getting one now? Only if you could get it for less that $150 since it is 2 1/2 years old and it's official software is now End of Life. But if will run extremely smooth as is and would be a great phone for the tinkerer looking to get into Custom Roms.

The perfect phone with me, a Oneplus phone with BlackBerry virtual keyboard and calendar on board.
