OnePlusOne Capacitive vs On-Screen Buttons: Why Not Both?

So, I heard the OnePlus One gives you the option of turning off the capacitive buttons and using on-screen buttons if you toggle the settings. That feature sounds pretty neat. Give both options and let the users decide on how they want to use their phone.

I suppose the capacitive buttons still take up bezel space, but it doesn't look like it's a large area.

It's all about choice and giving users what they want. I would probably never use the capacitive buttons but their are those that will.

I would probably use the capacitive buttons, but only because they are there and it doesn't make sense to me to give up the real estate on the screen. Though I understand the counterpoint that the on screen buttons can be customized and how that would appeal to some people.

I'd be reluctant to buy a phone that has capacitive or hardware buttons. (Whether or not I have the option to use on-screen buttons instead.)

They both have their advantages. I really don't mind having the capacitive buttons and physical home button.

Look for a camera icon or plus sign. I use tapatalk, and if you hit the plus sign and the three dots at the top right you can insert a photo.

Why not get rid of capacitive and the bezel and just have on screen?

I totally agree. I like on screen buttons because they can be context sensitive whereas the capacitive buttons are mainly single use. Also less bezel plz!
