So, I think you all know what this is about.

I am almost OCD when I comes to keeping my notification pane clear after going through my messages. And the persistent WiFi notification infuriates me.
I personally don't like rooting and stuff. I was wondering if anyone heard or knows of any menu tricks to remove it.

What I did was that I pulled down the notification and all I did was press "clear" and it went away. It never came back after that.

I just remembered...if you still have the wifi symbol on the status bar...pull down the status bar>touch wifi settings>turn it off. that should work but if not call VZW tech and see what they say

I too am the same way its killing me to see that stupid notification. Does this have an effect with that battery being that its always on?

How is it even possible that this phone would have a persistent wifi notification? That seems messed up!

That is some programming, couple that with how intrusive Verizon can be and you have a winner
