Adam: Normally with a device with this much anticipation the will allow pre orders 1-2 months before it ships, so there may be some wait for it.

You: okay i see, internet speculation has been saying august 4th release? do you think thats too soon?

Adam: Really I have no information, I suspect the will allow preorders though.

you browse for phones and theres a "need help with your order" button in right corner near the top of the page. click it and it will give you an online chat option

From my experience, Verizon usually allows pre-orders about 2 weeks in advance. So the August 4th date you can completely forget about.

Now we are pushing to the week of August 11th.

So basically add 2 weeks to the current date, and if there are rumors that it will arrive before that, you will know the rumors are fake.

You notice how he asked you what features you liked about the Bionic? He wanted to try and get you to buy a crappier phone.

"Oh, well the Thunderbolt has LTE too." Oh man I could never be a salesman I'd feel so snaky and gross. Convincing people to get crappier products so you can make an extra buck.

Josh S.: I'm sorry, but we do not actually have a release date just yet, but if you sign up for our emails you'll get information on that when we do it, but it shouldn't be much longer now.

Josh S.: They were supposed to release it late last month but they pushed it back a little, so it shouldn't be much longer. I could imagine it coming out in early to mid August.

You: have you heard anything about it possibly being the 4th of august? theres a lot of rumors saying that thats suppose to be the date?

Josh S.: Well, I've heard a bunch of rumors about it coming out soon, but it has only been said it's coming out on a Thursday for sure.

Josh S.: They didn't say which one though.

Josh S.: I know they've been posting hints on their Twitter account, so it's probably not much longer at all.

You: hmm yeah hoping its soon!! Have you heard anything about official specs of the phone? i know dual core processor, 4G, possibly 512 MB of ram. anything youve heard?

Josh S.: I've been hearing a lot. I know it's going to be 4G, and dual core, but I was recently hearing a gig of ram on it, and I recently heard a 2mp front facing camera on it.

Josh S.: There's nothing official released other than the dual core and the 4G, but they keep pushing it back to make improvements to it, so it should be one of the best phones released to date.

You: thats what im hoping for! everyones so excited for it, how come theres been such a lack of advertising for it if its suppose to be this big of a phone? any ideas?

Josh S.: I guess because they're not wanting to give too much away on the phone and make something final before they actually release it.

Just curious but is that a recent change? I posted earlier that the Droid 2 was released on Aug 11 of last year which would be a Wednesday.

I dont see why hes a jerk, You CAPITALIZE will be released on a thursday in the title like thats breaking news. Verizon has always favored Thursday releases.

I also would not take anything the online reps say seriously. They are usually the most clueless people about anything concerning upcoming events at verizon. In store reps are a close second. Example: I called Verizon about the Thunderbolt 2 days after the release. The lady replied to me, "Im not sure if its out yet but let me check." Way to stay on top of your product line.

lmbo, so just because a online rep said it was coming on a thursday you can throw any other date out??? It is common knowledge that they release phones on thursdays but to trust anything a rep says is not in your best interest. He also said that the twitter account is posting information, are they talking about MDB228???

My guess is the information he is getting is from the same source you and I are getting it from, Here and Droid Life. These rep's do not know anything more than we do, and most of the time they know less than we do. I appreciate your efforts but its a lost cause.
