4G on its own is a HUGE battery hog. Happens on every LTE phone I've encountered. That's why I keep it on WiFi as much as possible (LTE still on though in order to receive MMS). Drain is significantly reduced while running with dormant 4G.
I'm not a soak tester but I received Jelly Bean this morning. It took an hour from start to finish. I like it so far! The clock font is different. The battery life monitor now shows in increments of 5 (finally). I noticed the Camera icon has changed and there is now a Movie Studio app installed. MOG was still in my app tray but I was able to uninstall it. And finally...Google Now!
I installed the update last night and fired it up. It got to the red eye and stopped. I took it to Verizon and they used some Gizmo to do a factory reset because that was the only to get my phone back. However,
I lost root and it seems as though no one has a method to root a Motorola phone running JB. Is this true?
