Only receiving text messages from Sprint users.

I ported my number from Verizon to Sprint this morning. The port has gone through. However, I can send text messages to anyone, but, the only ones I receive are from Sprint customers. I don't get any text messages sent to me by any carrier other than Sprint. Any ideas?

Actually I am chatting with them right now.

They refreshed my services and send me a text message. Of course it went through because it was from Sprint, however they said that the issue with not receiving from other carriers would be resolved. Just tested it, it is not.

Update your profile and PRL. If it still doesn't work take it to your nearest sprint store that has a repair center in it. Not saying its a hardware problem but most people that work at the sprint stores that just sells them don't know much about the actual phone and trouble shooting.

I've had this issue with Sprint for years. I constantly have issues with receiving messages from a Verizon user. It does not seem to matter what phone I had. I first noticed the issue with an LG Rumor. That phone went swimming, so I then got a Rumor 2. I still had messages that never made it to me. I started to think maybe I didn't have nice friends! After talking with several of the friends I had texted, I was alerted they indeed responded to the texts they received. They too missed some texts that I had sent. I did notice that Sprint phones missed more texts than the Verizon phones. Eventually, I upgraded to a smart phone and got the Palm Pre. I was hoping that this would end the text issue. Unfortuntely, it did not. Currently, I have the Evo and it too misses texts from my Verizon friends. I have called Sprint before but they fained ignorance and said it was an issue on Verizon's end. I'm quite sure that Verizon would insist on the very same response about Sprint. I have been dealing with this issue for at least 4 years now. I have a hard time believing that it is a hardware issue. Especially having the same issue with four different phones.

I too am experiencing these same issues this week. All week long anytime some from Verizon sends me a text I either don't get it for several hours after they sent it, or I get it randomly throughout the day 3-4 times. This has been going on everyday this week and now today anytime I send out a text the other person isn't getting it. Really frustrating, I wish some one would fix the issue I have updated my prl and profile, but hasn't fixed the issue.
