It always opens in my Brave browser. It is bloody annoying, when logged out.
Could I log in? Yes! But I won't. There is a specific reason to having the app - full functionality.

Is this Facebook-specific? It seems to be the only app messing with me.

Try long press Facebook icon>tap info>tap set as default is open in other links toggle on?Screenshot_20220911_133004_Settings.jpg

I have a similar problem. Links to facebook groups and specific POSTS in a facebook page open in the app without a problem, however, links to the same facebook PAGE itself, or to e.g. the review section in the page will not. For those I only get the option to open in any of the installed browser....

In the app, Open supported links is Enabled, and Open links externally is not selected.

Welcome to Android Central! That sounds like it could be a bug in the app. Send feedback to Facebook about that.

If you guys figure it out, let me know because I have the exact opposite problem and it might help me as well. I have all the open by default and supported links turned off, but the Facebook app still somehow intercepts link taps and I can't figure out how to stop it. Because they bought their way into being a preinstalled app, uninstalling or disabling the Facebook app isn't an option.

I have it pre-installed too but if I go to Apps>Facebook, I have Disable at the bottom.
