Open Letter to The HTC One Fans Who Bash on The S4

This happened last year also. Leading up to the release of the phones, things get played a little bit fast and loose. Once both phones are released and more "non-nerdy" people come here looking for answers it calms down, and you'll see the Mod team stepping in more often. Honestly, there's just SO MUCH going on that it's hard to keep up with, so things get a little lax. Not much we can do about it, and sometimes a healthy back and forth (not exactly what's been happening in all cases) if just fine.

When the next Nexus is announced it'll happen again.

My decision was also made easier by the fact the HTC was $50.00 cheaper plus HTC gave me $100.00 trade in for a POS HTC Status that I got for $10.00. So in the end the HTC cost me $99.00 as opposed to $249.00. My loyalty is in my wallet. And the way I get bored with cell phones the S4 might be my next phone. I had a Nexus 4 all of 2 months. lol And we are all bickering about which phone is more durable. BOTH of these phones are WAY more durable. I used to take out my Nexus 4 wrapped in bubblewrap. I was afraid to sneeze holding the phone

Why does everyone assume successors to phones will have an s attached to them? Is that because of apple or what.

If htc/samsung wanted to be creative and unique they would come up with a name that doesn't possibly infringe apples patents.

I have seen this go both ways, If you go to the HTC One forums you will see Samsung fans over there bashing the One. It seems you are taking it personal other than enjoying the love og the phone game. I been In the phone game since 2002 and seen people bash phones and love them at the same time. Dont let it get to you bro and love whichever phone you choose. Some people buys a phone because of hype or what the cool kids have ( I call It riding the band wagon ). And then you have the people who buys a device according to there needs. just sit back and enjoy the ride bro its fun.

Just kidding! I've always said both phones are really nice.. But people will bash each phone, throw their chest out, and scream why they think so. Fact of life. Just have to work through it and it will calm down although I do understand how it gets annoying.

Keep HTC's build material, speakers,internal storage capacity, launcher, screen quality, but add Samsung's features, removable battery, battery capacity, sd cards, build quality, and processor and you have the perfect phone.

Both companies can learn a lot from each other

If you look closely, half the bashing is done by the same handful of people, moreso here than the HTC forum (as far as less but more active haters) but it does happen both places.

It's why I use the ignore function now.

There both Android... What's not to like

Btw. I chose the the One since I had the GS2 (loved it) and IMHO the S4 looked very similar to the S3, but still an awesome device - wanted to go with aluminum for a change.
