Hello everyone!

This winter I will be traveling to some very very cold places. I was hoping to bring my Galaxy Note 3 along for the trip, but I want it to survive. I've been trying to find information on its operating temperature. I have come up empty handed. Would anyone happen to know this information?

Welcome to the forums.
Not so sure if that is a great thing to do. You will have to be concerned about the battery and screen definitely. I found this Keeping Smartphones Safe from Wintry Chill by Elizabeth M Young | Inside Technology 360
It is a couple years old, but I think it still applies.

Yep, your phone should show battery's temperature that you'd monitoring it.

Just to round up ...

A Li-based battery's lowest allowed temperature is
for discharging -20C (-4F) and for charging 0C (+32F).

So charging outdoors might be the critical case ... but I think processor's heat won't let drop the temperature below 0C in the phone and also the battery's temperature.

You might install 'Battery Monitor Widget'.
The app let you place the battery's temperature on the notification bar :)

Just keep it in your pocket close to you when you are out, and it will stay warm enough. Don't put it in the pocket of your jacket or something like that.
