Operational Change - Android version 4.4.2

This am, I was asked to reboot my note 3 in order to update my system. I noticed that my battery level, network function, ... went from green indicators to white. That's no biggy. The issue is that now when I try to create a text, it's very delayed and sometimes the screen freezes. I have never had a response delay issue with my note 3. It's been awesome. Has anyone had this issue? Does anyone know how to fix?

Take your sd card out.. if you have one. If not.. it is probably one of your apps you have downloaded recently.
