Opinion on these cases?

I just ordered my Xoom this weekend, and am looking to get a case for it. Does anyone have experience/opinions on any of the following cases?

I'm thinking that I'd prefer a folio type case because I'd have the screen protection with the flap. The first one is what I'm leaning towards ordering, pretty basic, ok price, and looks like it would do the job. The second one is a bit expensive for my taste, but I really like it's design. And the last one looks very functional, although it's not the folio style.

I bought KeviKev, and as you said, it's pretty basic, but does the job of protecting it and propping it up for horizontal viewing. The only negatives: it stinks (really REALLY bad new rubber smell), and the price (I ended up paying a little over $50 including shipping and taxes. It's way too expensive for a really basic case like this).

PDAir looks HOT. It's of higher quality (I had their case for my Evo 4G in the past). But as you said, it's very pricey.

No experience with the last one.

Having said that, it seems like ALL of them still suffer the same issue with Motorola's Folio Case: NO way to charge it while having the case closed. I have no idea how they designed it, or why they miss the most obvious design flaw. For now I'll stick with KeviKev until I see something better.

As an end note, it is REALLY hard to find any Xoom case. Compare it with iPad 2 cases.. :(

I have the motorola portfolio case and I've used it for about 20 minutes. I modified it (just sanded down the snap in tabs on the bottom) so it wouldn't hurt the Xoom but didn't find it all that great to use. It added some bulk. I'm not opposed to trying a more streamlined portfolio case one day but I thought I'd let you know how I carry my Xoom. I'm a commuter so a baseline of protection is a must for me on nyc public transit.

I have an after market gel case, which I love. It adds the right amount of substance to the Xoom, not really too bulky, it just feels great in the hand. I feel like it lets me really pick up the Xoom and use it as a tablet in any orientation without any of the portfolio case flaps hanging all around.

I put the Xoom w/the gel case inside of this carrying case: Amazon.com: Caselogic VNA210 10.2-Inch Netbook/iPad Attache (Black): Electronics - I also put the bluetooth keyboard (which I rarely use anymore) and this tablet stand: Amazon.com: Arkon Portable Fold-Up Stand for Apple iPad, Galaxy Tab, BlackBerry Play Book: Electronics in there.

It works great for me, I can have the Xoom propped up in about 10 seconds and it's protected enough in that carrying case where I'm not freaking out about it on the train. Then when I want to grab it, I just grab it and it's a black slate again with nothing extra hanging off of it.

That being said, I have to upgrade my carrying case because I kind of got hooked on the Nintendo emulators and bought myself a wiimote and classic controller.

I ordered both the ZooGue and the PDair Book Style Case. I will try them both and return the one I don't like.

Great info! I really like the way that tablet stand looks. I have the black gel case that came with the Costco package, so am looking for a sleeve to put this in (with the gel case on) to protect the tablet when I'm commuting.

Has anyone tried this one?: Amazon.com: CaseCrown Faux Suede Zip Sleeve Case (Black) for Motorola XOOM WiFi / 3G Model: Electronics

From the reviews it looks like it's a little large for the Xoom dimensions, but maybe with the gel case I have on it, it should fit a little snugger.

I have the motorola case right now. Its good but i hate the fact that you can't put the xoom at a slightly inclined angle so that I can type on it better. Its either movie watching angle or completely flat.

I have yet to find a nice case for this xoom that adds functionality. I would like it to cover the screen and be a folio case, but in many angles. I would order the first one you got there, but i hate ordering stuff online because its a hassle to return if I don't like it. Plus, I prefer to buy local anyway. (In a very non hippie way).

If any of you see a good functional case in any store like best buy target, etc let me know. I am on the hunt!

I ordered a switcheasy trig, its made for the ipad/ipad 2 but it fits the xoom really well. The inside of the sleeve is really soft and it turns into a stand. I attached some crappy pics of it showing how it fits.

Let us know what you think of the PDair one. It looks legit but the website doesn't.

I have ordered many times from that website.

I had the leather case for my Ipad and my Galaxy Tab. The leather is top notch quality.

The cases do come from China so they take a little longer to get to you.

Both Cases were very good leather and the fit was perfect.

KeviKev case

I have the KeviKev case and its a great portfolio case (just like the one for the first generation Apple IPad). Here are some pros and cons.

Pros:
- Nice professional looking leather case to carry around anywhere
- Case closes securely with magnets (Just like the Ipad 2 cover)
- Has good typing position when you fold the case all the way back
- Solid design and easy to clean
- Putting in and Taking out the Xoom is fast and easy (better design than the first generation Apple Ipad case)

Cons
- Bending back the flip cover (in standing position for movie watching) does not work well and the leather will form folding marks
- the cut out for the webcam is off a bit (need to be adjusted sometimes when I use the webcam)
