So I am a current Note 5 user and generally like it with the exception of battery life. Have been reading the threads the last couple weeks and see a comment here and there comparing the Note 5 and S7 Edge. Just getting mixed input on the battery. Any input would be appreciated.

I currently have both phones and I couldn't be happier with my s7 edge battery. I was never satisfied with the Note 5 battery life. I think the s7e wins because the battery is bigger and marshmallow helps because of doze. I actually use my phone to make lots of calls. I can usually get 4 to 5 hours of calls along with 3 or 4 hours of screen time on a single charge. The Note 5 could never do that.

I didn't have a Note 5, but I had the Note 2, 3, and 4, and now I have the S7 Edge and it's the best Samsung device of all time. Battery life is far superior to any previous Galaxy

I think the S7E smokes the Note 5. Because it's newer, has the giant battery, and is downright wicked fast. I came from a Nexus 6P and a Note 5. The Note 5 was a smidgen too ergonomically challenging for my tiny little hands, so I went with a 6P, which I rocked naked and handled just fine. The S7E is awesome.

I also had the Note5 - and battery on my S7E is just killing the Note5. I really loved the Note5, but hated the battery life and switched because of that.

On the side, I still have my iPhone 6S Plus - battery life on S7E and iPhone are more or less the same.

Big difference in battery life for me comparing the Note 5 to the S7E. Missing the S pen a little and still missing the IR blaster.
