Due for an upgrade in April...I currently have the EVO. Ive thought about the IPhone however I have a few friends that made the jump and either have already home back to Droid, or want to terribly. So, Galaxy S2 Touch, or wait for something new since I really havnt had issues, or dislike my current phone.

I am holding out for Sprint's version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
Hoping it will be out in the next month or two.
As this is Sprint's first LTE phone, they are wanting to get the service out there first.

Just my $.02

Mav.

You're going to want to wait for the new LTE devices to come out. Sprint's going to roll out LTE Advanced next year and if you get a WiMax phone today the LTE Advanced's 1 Gbps down will make you cry.

The best phone Sprint has right now is the Epic 4G Touch, hands down. If you want to upgrade, that's the phone you want.

I wouldn't bother waiting for LTE phones unless you are still happy with the EVO and you want to keep it a while longer. They may start selling LTE phones soon, but who knows when you will actually see LTE service in your area. If you want to upgrade, just upgrade and be done with it.

find yourself a ns4g or proton on Craigslist (ns4g ......;). ) for $200 or under and wait and see what sprint does over the next 6 months.....

Long days and pleasant nights............

I kinda figured the LTE would.be awhile...Kind of live out in the sticks, at this point the closest 4G is about 20 miles each way to get it. Never use it anyways, deal with 3G and WiFi for the most part. Might just stick it out for a bit and see what happens. Although the Touch does look purty!

I look at it like this the next big thing (phone) is going to be just around the corner, the latest, greatest is coming next, well if you can afford to hop on that ride go for it but if you need a solid phone with at this time the latest features then the Samsung Epic 4G is a good bet, the only features missing for me are NFC (Location) LTE service who knows they may find a way to update at least NFC to the Epic and develop a patch to install LTE ability.

I myself can never go back to an IOS device. The layout and os itself is too simple for me. I will be sticking with Android all the way. If your upgrade is comming up, wait and see a little while to see what is onthe horizon with LTE and future phones.

Thanks guys...I just invested in a new case and will be hanging on to the EVO for a little while longer...Seeing I havnt had any huge issues with it yet, I figure why quit now, let's see what this LTE has to offer!!!

My upgrade is in October, so I am holding out for the possible rumored HTC EVO LTE (a version of the One X). Of course, something may change my mind over the next 6 months.

Honestly if I didn't have to keep replacing my Evo due to failing charger port, I'd still be using it. I just couldn't see myself plunking down another $100 for design failure.

I went from evo to photon after trying the iphone. I like the photon. Has a kickstand like the evo too which I like. I'm gonna hold off on the lte until the kinks are worked out. I do miss the sense ui and the keyboard but other than that its a good phone.

Every time I had an issue with a charger port it was replaced for free, only time it wasn't was when I attempted to move one of the prongs with a small screw driver and there was physical damage...the other 2 times were free...going on a year with this one however.

I also had issues with charger port and Sprint acknowledged it as manufactor issue. This is the third Evo in 1-1/2 years and three seperate issues. I have had three different model htc phones in six years and this will be my last htc phone for sure. Looking into Samsung next possibly the note.
