Opportunity to trade BB Storm 2 for Droid 2

I have been with BB for the past 2 years (Storm 1 and 2). My Verizon contract is not up until May of next year, but I want to get into the android platform as soon as I can without having to spend a ton of cash for an off contract phone.

I have an opportunity to trade my Storm 2 for a Droid 2 straight up, but I really want a Droid X or a Fascinate (no real need for a physical keyboard). But this would get me into the android platform sooner rather than later. And I can live the good life until May.

Is this a good deal? How good is the Droid 2? I have most of my research on the Droid X, Dinc and Fascinate. Will the D2 give me the great android experience I have read about here on Android Central until I can get into a Droid X or something better later on down the road?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would do it in a heartbeat. I went from the storm 2 to the inc to the droid 2 after my inc broke. Both droids are much much better in my opinion.

Thanks guys, but I have another question. If for some reason this deal falls thru, what other android phones (preferably Verizon) would be a good deal for the Storm 2? Aside from the obvious (Droid X, Dinc, Fascinate).
