opt out of 8.1 beta to receive release version?

Hi all;

Stupid question - should I opt out of the 8.1 beta in order to update my phone to the release version of 8.1 along with the December security patch?

Can I opt out without wiping my phone since 8.1 has been released?

I tried to see if opting out would bring me 8.1. It did not and went back to 8.0. And backup didn't restore anything. So stick with what you have for now.
