I would keep it. You never know how some employers support personal use of company phones. Having a private phone just for family things can be helpful. Setting it up as an mp3 & media player is easy. It does a great job with media stuff & games. Phones can also get broken unexpectedly so having a spare no contract phone handy can be a butt saver! Good luck with the new job but a good employee is prepared for EVERYTHING! Just food for thought!
