I am very happy with my TB. I came over from BB Storm 2 and ain't going back. I don't mind the extended battery too much. I can upgrade in January and my biggest complaint with my TB is that is not a world phone. I have to reactivate the BB Storm 2 when I need a world phone. Looking over the horizon, what Android OS phone might be a good upgrade and world phone capabilities?
Thanks.

I think the DROID 2 World Edition is a worldphone. I don't travel at all, so, I am not up on it. I went on a cruise last year and they wanted to charge me like $3.00/min and $.50 a message to forward everything to my (at that time) original Droid. I went PHONELESS for a week. I had shakes the first 2 days and then I was ok....LOLOL.

I had a Droid 2 Global for a short period of time, but it had so many issues, I returned it before my 14 days was up, and got the T-Bolt.
I would consider the Droid 3 which has global capabilities if you want a world phone. I have read it is a good device and it has a better physical keyboard than the D2. It is a newer device, although no 4g on the phone.

I have the exact same situation. I am re-activating my BB Storm2 tomorrow for my trip and I absolutely dread using that phone. It's my understanding that there isn't a 4GLTE World phone yet - and now I'm wondering if it's even possible. It appears from the early press on the Motorola Droid Razr that is not a world phone. I'm not willing to give up 4GLTE even for a world phone - but I would be first in line if Verizon came out with a 4G world. Does anyone know if that's a possibility?

Thanks. I forgot to mention that future phone would have to be 4g.

I've heard rumors that the Vigor/Rezound might be a world phone, but I haven't heard positive confirmation of that yet.

Anyone else heard this or the opposite?

If true, it would be a solid choice.

From the early specs on the Vigor (which may or may not be accurate) it does not appear it would be a world phone, but until it's actually debuted, we won't know for sure.

That article is interesting regarding the RAZR. World phone wasn't mentioned at all at the release today, except that the RAZR will be released internationally. I would think that if the RAZR was the first 4g world phone they would mention that in the release.

That is why I left it as a rumor.

The RAZR is not a "World" phone. It may have GSM, but Verizon has it locked down (according to various sources). The Samsung Nexus also is not a 4G World. I contacted Verizon today directly asking when they will have a global 4G device and their answer was: "coming soon!". We all know what that means...
