I ordered my on 7/15/10 14 minutes after it was released on the site.

While verizon tested my bank account for $0.00 at 2:30am, they did not charge my account until 5:54pm, cause apparently I got stuck in a site glitch that pushed me to the bottom of the barrell.

On a good note, for anyone that this happened too, you should be recieving your phone by wednesday, maybe thursday at the latest. Mine shows tuesday as my delivery date as I just got my confirmation email with my tracking number.

So apparently someone noticed the glitch, and set aside a bunch of phones for us, so we didn't have to wait while everyone after us got a phone, so yes while we did not recieve it next day like thoes who wern't caught in the glitch, we will recieve them before the 23rd, unlike alot of unlucky people who waited.

Nice to know the verizon store have some priorities, cause I was pretty mad when i saw it wasn't first come first serve. I'll just be happy when I get my phone. Thats alot of money for something that 'may be here in a week'.

Mine actually shows that too. The email I got saying it shipped had a different order number than the one I got when I placed it!

Because your online order # and your Sales order # are two different things.
Order number is for you to track on the verizon Order Status, and Sales order along with Sales location is used by customer service to track your shipment.
 
How are people getting shipping notifications on a Sunday? Not to mention those of you who ordered in on Friday. I had better wake up tomorrow to something other than morning wood.

I ordered mine as soon as it came out, but got pushed to the back of the line, cause of a site glitch. So thankfully I will be getting mine tomarrow or tuesday.

BUT, the reason we get shipping on Sundays, is because Verizon Wireless warehouse and shipping centers is open 7 days a week, and FedEx will pick up packages 7 days a week. I don't know if FedEx acuteally delivers on Sundays, but I know they pick up packages, and process them, and send them out for truck delieveries, cause honestly one day off a week would set them back a ton, and not having to deliver to houses would probably save them alot of time.
 
Ordered @ 5 am 0n 7/15 via online sales. Selected next day. When I called CS Friday 7/16 to find out what the heck was going on, they told me the order did not get processed until 5 pm on 7/15. I was told to expect the phone sometime soon.

Today (7/18) I finally received my tracking number. Should be here 7/20. Got credit for the next day delivery charge too.

I guess I will have second thoughts about ordering online again through vzw.
 
Well I called and played stupid asking for my tracking number and it looks like they wont be shipping my phone out till the 27th...again ordered Thursday morning at 6:45.

I just checked my credit card and see that they only charged it yesterday afternoon for the phones. When I mentioned that I had a friend walked into a VZW store Thursday afternoon to find out they were sold out, then have the store order it for him and he received the phone the following day.

I asked if VZW is compensating the customers who's orders got a jacked up the rep said that VZW wasn't and that she herself is waiting for a set of X's. In the back of my head I'm thinking that employees shouldn't get them for weeks after a release and nor do I care about your order.

One would think that orders would be processed in the order they were received?

I ordered mine at noon on the 15th, so I'm not part of the glitch window. Yet they say anyone who ordered after 2:30 PM would get it on the 23rd, yet I have received no shipping confirmation. I know I should get it later than those of you who ordered in the early morning, but wtf? Some people ordered it Friday and have already received it. Verizon needs to get its act together.
 
Hard to say what happened to this order. But I bet you aren't the only one with a mis-directed shipment. To say that Verizon was overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of people ordering this phone is an understatement.
 
Got my shipping confirmation e-mail. Should be here 7/21.

FINALLY!!!

Good for you! I on the other hand am still waiting, no shipping notification thus far. I'm holding out little hope at this point for receiving it before the 23rd... :mad:
