I have Tmobile for all 3 phone lines. TMobile doesn't offer the Tab S3 on plan (which to me is just stupid). Verizon does offer it so I talked with them today and ended up ordering it online - will pick up in store today. I will have that Tab S3 with a small data line on Verizon. I have access to a lot of Wifi so no worries there. Looking forward to it.

Does your T-Mobile plan have hotspot? No need to lock into a plan with Verizon to get the tablet, just get a WiFi version and connect to hotspot.

She's probably getting it "free" based on signing up for the plan, OR at a greatly reduced price. Personally though (and I DO use Android, having a Note 8 and V30 currently) would not recommend any tablet that is not an iPad. ;) HOWEVER if you really want to go Android, Samsung IS the way to go. ;)

UPDATE: Yikes I just checked you only get 100 dollars off for signing a "contract" with Verizon. :(

Yep contacts are only on tablets (usually) and aren't that much off. Really only good for existing customers who are going to stay w/ Verizon anyway.

Hope you like it. I picked up a used Tab S3 last week to replace my Tab S2 8 inch tablet I've been using for a couple years. So far I really like it. I also picked up a used 256GB iPad last year (which my son mostly uses ) for $10 a month on Verizon. Love having a tablet with cellular connectivity.

I have it on the $10 a month as well through Verizon. All of my phone lines are through T-Mobile and I can use the hotspot on there and of course Wi-Fi whenever needed. I also get a discount through work because my company uses Verizon.

I did a little research and the Samsung Tab S3 IS the way to go if you want an Android tablet! :) I still think overall though that iPads are better. ;)

I don't like the ipad, I had a tab s2 and now s3.

People have preferences and that's fine, but to tell someone to pick one or the other without offering reasons why seems biased.

I use my tab mainly for stocks, browsing, videos, and writing, but when I'm on call I use it for work. I use Cisco anyconnect and MS RDP, from there I have access to outlook, MS lync, putty, etc.

I also use the multi view feature when paying bills. I have my spreadsheet and banking open simultaneously so I can see what needs to be paid and pay it, no switching back and forth.

iPad = no S Pen. iPad Pro is too big IMO and the Apple Pen is separate purchase. That alone makes the iPad worse for me. The only uses I have for tablets apart from watching movies/Netflix is reading and annotating books. Hence SPen. I'd also like to try drawing on it. The Note 2 was ok for drawing but too small.

I really like the S3. Have it setup now in its case landscape mode at an angle, typing with the bluetooth keyboard.

Watched a Samsung unveiling video earlier today on it - nice.
