Ordering unlocked version vs ATT version on HTC website?

There's a bunch of carrier code in the ROMs.

Wait, can you clarify? Are you saying that, AT&T, the most stubborn carrier with VoLTE will actually allow it on an unlocked phone? That's historical if true. For some reason, AT&T always has a bug up it's **** about VoLTE (and VVM for that matter). They REQUIRE a branded phone.

Meanwhile, the Nexus 6p/5x chug along on T-Mobile all day on VoLTE out of the box. Even wifi calling (limited to only the iPhone on AT&T). It's aggravating how militant AT&T is about this. I get it, the code needs to be there. It's there on the 6P, AT&T VoLTE isn't Why. (6.0 supports it out of the box).

From what I understand the unlocked HTC A9 supports at&t's VoLTE and the only unlocked device to do so. I believe, and I may be wrong, the device manufacture has to have the device certified by at&t. Anyways they punt the ball to the manufacture to have their unlocked phone tested? by at&t. HTC did this with the A9. I hope we see it with the 10.

Remember, the A9 is a branded phone sold by AT&T. That maybe why the unlocked somehow works w/ VoLTE.

even if they have a branded phone with the a9 the unlocked version would stop need to be tested. and the code is there with the 10 so I'm 100
% sure that I'll will work since the code is there because htc has said it will work. with NOLTE
