Oreo for LGUS997 (unlocked)

Any information on when this model will get upgraded? It is of course not wedded to any network, so the upgrade will need to come from LG.

If you mean the 8.0 Oreo upgrade, my G6 US997 got it a couple of months ago. I'm using Cricket, but as you said, it's unlocked, so the upgrade was OTA from LG.

Yes I did, but LG Bridge merely informed me that I had the latest. So no Oreo for me.

If you have TWRP, Oreo build 20B is available, in the LG-G6 forum on xda.

I just bought 10 days ago, the LG G6 US997 unlocked for use with Tracfone "Bring your Own Smartphone SIM Kit" using the Verizon network SIM card on 9/6/2018 and as soon as I turned it on for the first time, it upgraded me from Nougat 7.1 to Oreo 8.0 on my WiFi network along with the standard Google transfer of Apps from old to new phone.

I have also read that the LG G6 will get another OS upgrade scheduled: May 2019 but also read that realistically we won't see that upgrade until next Sept 2019, it's all good, as long as I know the LG G6 is qualified and accepted by Android to get it.
