Oreo for this device?

Battery life is still excellent with Oreo wish performance was like before.

Just finished installing the update. What is the new icon in the top tray that looks like a white square with an N inlaid? I was hoping the dark theme would be included. Nope! It's "white" for everything.

I figured out the new icon. It was the NFC icon. It never showed up before the update. Does anyone use NFC?

What did you do when Jelly Bean was 4.3 and KitKat was 4.4

4.4.4 KitKat the best Android version to this day :)
Seriously, when it comes to performance and ease of use nothing beats it.

My Z Play Droid updated to Oreo yesterday and knock on wood, so far everything is running very well. I even think it is snappier when launching apps and just in general. Battery life so far has been good as well. Time will tell.

Not sure I like the fact that my screen is now clogged down with 5 icons wide for apps, but I am sure I will get used to it. It feels busy, but nothing that I cannot live with ... not like I have an option anyway.

You can increase the screen size.

I think my apps open a little slower and my phone felt a little warmer after some use today. Hope it's not going to affect my battery life. One thing that has bugged me so far is that I got a notification that tapatalk was using too much resources and I can't swipe it away. When you tap on the notification it wants you to close the app.

I got that a lot at first. Then it eventually stopped on it's own. Then it was "Play Music is using battery" every time I opened Play Music. That notification eventually stopped also. My battery still dies very fast but at least those notifications stopped.

My battery is alright and haven't got any of those messages but am still getting Google has stopped messages.

Did they make it so you can't swipe to "do not answer" when a call comes in? I only have an option to answer the call. I don't want to answer calls from unknown numbers. And I don't want to wait for the caller to finally hang up for the ringing to stop. I used to be able to swipe right to answer and swipe left to not answer.

Now it's swipe up to answer and swipe down to reject call.

Did the dreaded factory reset today. So far no more Google has stopped. Time will tell. The rest seems OK so far.
