Ok, so why is tegra 2 and 4.5" a win CK. Should we assume the Droid 3 is outperforming the DX2 because of Gingerbread? And that OMAP has nothing to do with it?

Strictly from a marketing perspective it's more attractive. Hit them with the Tegra Zone and Nvidia's Tegra 2 then knock-em out with the 4.5" screen.

To us this is essentially meaningless but consumers love this stuff. Give things flashy names, make them big and bad and watch the people start flocking to the stores. For example. The Snapdragon. People had no clue what the heck it was but when Verizons commercials mentioned the Blazing fast 1 GHZ Snapdragon Proccessor people had to have it. We laugh but it's true.

I think it was even printed on the box? 1 GHZ Snapdragon Proccessor lol

My point is, it's a win because these are consumer handsets and when you market something with these things it looks more attractive even though WE know the truth. Tell somebody the TI OMAP will out perform the Tegra 2 and their eyes will gloss over. But tell them it features the Viper 2 Zero 1GHZ Dual Core and their eyes will light up.

Wasn't it getting destroyed in linepack? I know d3 quadrant went up but how is it performing compared to droid x2?

I'm using the CK method of video watching! . But seriously my hands on experience w DX2 and the reviews / hands on video of the D3 is all I'm basing my speculation on. I could be wrong, but it appears to have no lag issues the DX2 has.

I haven't seen any Droid 3 videos yet. I'll check them out....

If you were basing it off Quadrant scores (meaningless) I would have said they are pretty even with the DX2 edging it out slightly. Rough estimates:

Droid 3 2,400 -2,500

DX2 2,600- 2700

He stated awhile back he doesnt like the bionic idk why. He didn't say the other vzw phones are better he said evo3d and sensation were.
