Same issue here, rooted but on the upgrade path, downloaded in fits and starts then failed with the exclamation point. Ran through this drill three or four times, factory reset, and now it downloads fine, but still having the issue of failing about a third of the bar in, rebooting, saying the install failed, and a redownload.

Called VZW, and they let me know they'd just received a mass email about it in their tech support department, that they know it's an issue, and people are working to resolve it. The lady said to try back again later on this evening, so hopefully it'll work!

Battery life is actually worse than with GB.. I used to get about 3-4 hrs of screen time.

I am having the EXACT same issue.

I ended up using House of Bionic to apply the update. After some trouble shooting on my end (read: I'm dumb and impatient) I got it to work 100%. I highly recommend getting the .246 update this way. It's essentially fool proof if you read the instructions.

Download the latest file for Bionic from above website, and you can flash it via Rsd lite.

For battery life I forced my phone back to 3G. No need for 4g really... so much more battery life!

Yes, certainly the easiest. Not trying to make light of the plight of others, but so glad HOB was available beforehand. I've not had one single problem.
