OTA Update Notification While Running ROM

Hey everyone, quick question.

So I'm currently running Android HD Revolution's 4.4 GPE ROM, and noticed yesterday that the 4.4.2 OTA is available for download on my phone. Would my phone survive the download or should I wait for the latest ROM to be available to prevent any bricking that my occur?

I was running a Google play edition ROM on mine and got the update last week. I updated with no problems.
