OTA Update Taking FOR-ever

I bought my Rezound tonight and my OTA update notification came through a few hours later. Well, it's now been 45 minutes since it's been downloading the update, and it's still not even 1/4 of the way through. Yes, I'm connected to Wifi and my connection speed is screaming.

What gives?

Not sure what's up w/ wifi, but Tbolt, another member, just reported a similar issue w/ his wifi speeds. So you're not alone at the moment. Glad I didn't have a any need for the update,, after reading all these posts in the past 24hrs.

My Wifi speeds were fine, but the OTA update wasn't going fast AT ALL. Well, 1.5 hrs later...it was still holding at 25% download, so I had to do a battery pull to make it stop. Once I did that, waited 30 seconds, and re-inserted the battery and powered on the phone...bam! The update downloaded REALLY fast and it rebooted, and now...it's done.

I am reading about issues others are having with the newest update and I pray I'm not going to fall victim to the same - I can't go through more phone exchanges..... :-\

Don't get yourself worried, you just got the phone hours ago. All these issues are sporadic, not everybody has the issues, universally. Until you get a feel for what is normal on your phone in the next couple of days. Don't worrt about those posts? Only issue that is even close to being a widespread issue is the boot loop, but there is an easy fix for it already. You might wanna search it and make a note of the fix b/c it strikes at random and id you don't have online access, you could be SOL to fix it easily.

The phone is awesome, I am one of the lucky ones w/o problems but if in case it happens to you here's the info:

Thanks so much! Now how will I remember all that in case this happens to my phone and I'm not anywhere near a computer? Very good info to have!
