We had similar problem with the 7edge, a brand new one was mailed out from SPRINT, after 10 days while using the phone, it started to overheat and it wouldn't charge. We contacted SPRINT and told them the problem. At one point it began so hot, it almost burn my girlfriend. Then, we remembered the note7 situation. This phone had no covering case, it just started overheating.
SPRINT sent out another brand new one, sealed in the box, never open before. In less than 14 days another strange thing happened. The phone screen started blinking, with no apps visible only the clock will appear after few seconds. The phone won't even turn off. With this phone it had the soft gel case protecting it before this happened. The phone has been blinking for 8 days now, as I'm writing this comments. We just got a new one from SPRINT, activation was just completed and is being charge right now.
Before we got this new phone from SPRINT, we had to go through a struggle with the rep we were speaking with. She told us even though the phone was activated less than 14 days, the corporate store had told her that the upgrade and original activition, was more than 14 days, so we should pay a $75 fee for repair. We refused, cuz, this didn't make any sense to us. Especially when the 14 days clause/period covered the device and not the upgrade. She was able to understand these points and waived the fees. But this took a lengthy time.
Is this whole inconvenience, worth owning a 7edge? Please help us out here. As SPRINT was technically blaming us for these malfunctioning phones.
